When to say "yes" to a relationship proposal

Yes is a strong word for commitment. Commitment is the act of binding yourself (intellectually or emotionally) to a course of action. Barbara De Angelis said, “When you make a commitment to a relationship, you invest your attention and energy in it more profoundly because you now experience ownership of that relationship”. Every relationship started with the word “yes” to show a readiness to start a relationship. That is why everybody must understand that as simple as the word (yes) is, a commitment has been made by you to your partner.  In recent time, the word has been abused because people use the word without knowing that they are making a commitment via that word.

Moreover, a guy wanted to hear the word “yes” after his proposal likewise a lady wants to hear yes when she asked a guy that “do you love me”. The word goes deep into the heart of lovers because it is an affirmative word. It is also a word of assurance in relationships. The word “yes” has a potency of changing the atmosphere and springing forth joy when it is uttered.

However, you must engage in a deep thought before uttering the word at any request. A man will definitely want to hear the word “yes” after his proposal to you. So you must check your heart before you make a commitment to love.  You must understand what love is and be sure he actually loves you before you make a commitment. You must think through what I have listed as “what love is” before you can give your consent. Regardless of how strong your emotion is, remember that love is thoughtful. You must give thought to his proposal before you commit yourself by saying “yes”. Love isn’t irrational and doesn’t deny the evidence. So if you are surrounded with reasons why you shouldn’t accept the proposal, you must not allow your emotion to override the evidence.  It is so annoying when the evidence stares at you but all you could say is that I will change him. You can’t change a man that is not ready for a change. Change is a personal decision. Carol Burnett said “Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me”. You can’t change him; he is the only one that can change his life.

For every investment, there must be a dividend. So don’t go into a relationship that will make you lose or complicate your life. Remember that you will invest time, attention and energy in a relationship and I believe you will not want it to end in regret.

How to Say Yes to a Relationship Prosposal

 Having gone through the when to accept the proposal, the next thing is to give your consent to it. How you go about saying yes depends on the approach you want. You may decide to send a romantic message to him that will convey your acceptance, you may pay him a visit and during your conversion express how you feel about him, you may ask for a date from him to convey how your heart beats for him, etc. So it depends on the approach you want to use.

But the bottom line is you must let him know that you love him in return and would like to spend the rest of your years with him.
